Folks, we do live in fictitious times. The news that came out in the past 72 hours would make a great Keystone Cops comedy if it weren't so real and tragic.
- Senate Report Says U.S. Went To War on False WMD Info... then the music stopped, and there was no chair underneath Bush's ass... if this isn't the biggest fucking OOPS in U.S. history, I'd like to hear otherwise. The report conveniently blames the Tenet-less CIA, because the treasonous SOB's who rammed this war down our throats have blood on their hands.

The discovery of truth will hopefully place me on the right side of a good thing. So many things on my mind... I will do a quick brainstorm.
- The looting of American treasure and the coming economic depression will be blamed on "terrorism" and not on the fraudulent fiscal policies and the participating politicians.
- "Terrorism" will become the new communism... innocent people like me will be labeled a threat.
- For the US Economy to continue its never-satisfied-capitalistic-growth, it will have to continue to sell war to the world.
- How can half the American people give the Bush Administration a positive approval rating? It's the Jesus Factor... http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/jesus/ ... what a chilling situation.
- The 9/11 Commission is a whitewashed joke... the real questions have not been asked.
- As far as I'm concerned the high level members of the Bush Administration should be tried for treason for betraying the trust of the Amercian people.

Really?
I guess that would explain why you initially refused to create the 9/11 commission for months, until you caved into pressure from the families of the victims.
That would explain why you refused to properly fund the commission.
That would explain why you hand picked everyone on the commission, instead of letting congress appoint them.
That would explain why you kicked off Ex-Senator Max Cleland (D-Georgia) who was the most controversial figure.
That would explain why after months of pleading, that you gave your daily briefing notes to the commission only after they threatened to subpoena them.
That would explain why you refused to let your National Security Advisor testify until you received a great deal a pressure. (Note: She did not testify under oath).
That would explain why you originally refused to testify.
That would explain why, when you finally agreed to testify after intense pressure, that you originally agreed to be interviewed for only an hour and NOT under oath.
That would explain why you will ONLY testify with Cheney holding your hand.
That would explain why there will be no video, no recording devices, not even a stenographer taking down every word your saying.
That would explain why every time the commission has said it needed more time to finish their report you said no, until you received intense pressure.
You must really be extremely stupid if you actually think that the American people believe that you “look forward to giving the commissioners a chance to question” you.

I know there are millions of Americans out there that feel the same way... How did this once great nation go so wrong?! How did our train fall so far off the tracks?
I was once a proud patriot of the United States of America, and now I no longer feel as if this is my home.
Still a patriot, I want to bring about positive change and fight for the values that made the United States of America a shining beacon throughout the world for freedom, justice, and a higher moral code. On so many fronts, I feel that we've lost our way... I've lost my country.

The name of this blog originates from a 1983 tune by the Fleshtones, Right Side Of A Good Thing. I hosted a radio show in college with the same name, and always liked the sound of it. As the 1985 Hazen High Class Optimist, I have always been a very positive person... one who always tried to make the best of any situation. Thus, being the glass half-full kind of guy, the past three years have been a struggle for me. Since 9/11/01, I have wrestled with the beauty and satisfaction of my everyday life and the horror and insanity of my worldly view... do I live in an isolated,unrealistic, liberal bubble or are my perceptions of the "truth" dead on? Time and time again, my research and study validates my view of the world.
And because I hope to never live with the guilt of my children and grandkids asking why I didn't do anything to stop the Bush Administration's madness, I embark on this weblog journey. I'm sure it will be satisfying!

And even more shocking… according to another recent poll, conducted by the University of Maryland, “A staggering 82 percent of respondents believed most experts supported the notion that Iraq was providing "substantial support" to al-Qaida -- a contention that President Bush himself has been forced to disavow.”
Don’t tell me the neocon disinformation campaign (i.e. propaganda) doesn’t work!
Based on the above info, this is what we must contemplate… What will you (anyone that feels the Bush Administration is heading this country in the wrong direction.) do come 2005 and George Bush is still President?! There are plenty of things you could do… will you take action?!

Wonderful times with family... Busy times with career... Disturbing times with current political situation. I'm going to give this blogging thing a try and see how it works out. So much to say, but I often feel that I'm living in a common sense vacuum... most people go about their daily business and never stop to think about the world that is being created about them... just another cog in the wheel.
I'm hoping the web logging experience can be a positive outlet for me and help in my desire to make a contribution to the world in which we live... at the minimum, my kids deserve a determined effort from their Papa to help abandon the reckless course the Bush Administration has dangerously thrust the people of this great nation. Endless War?! Not if I can help it!
